2011 TREPAC Committee Members had a tremendous year by raising more than $300,000. 2011 TREPAC Chairman Annette Slater and Trustees, Marietta Alba and Jackie Galvan are so pleased with this accomplishment and extend a thank you to the many SABOR contributors who have made this outcome a reality.
Capitol Club, Lone Star Statesman’s Club, 110% Club and Fair Share members are all greatly appreciated. If each member of SABOR would contribute their “Fair Share - $40”, fundraisers or higher levels of giving would not be necessary to reach each year’s goal.
In 2011, we had 29 members who rose to the Sterling R ($1,000) level or maintained that contribution level. A special thank you is extended to D'Ann Harper and Dwight Hale for again participating at the Golden R level.
2011 TREPAC Advertisers also made significant contributions to the PAC. These advertisers enabled TREPAC to host events through their advertising dollars. These fundraisers included the Bowling for TREPAC, Holiday River Barge Tour, Golf Tournament at the Hyatt Hill Country Golf Club, Wine Tasting Evening and REALTORS® Got Talent.
The 2012 TREPAC fiscal year opened with a TREPAC Sweepstakes during dues billing available to members as an incentive to invest when they pay their SABOR dues. An investment of $40 for one entry, $110 for three entries and $1,000 for thirty entries gives members the chance to contribute to TREPAC and to potentially win an Apple iPad2, Big Green Egg outdoor cooker or an $800 gift card to the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa.
A special thanks to the 2011 REALTOR®Builder Committee and their Chairman Copernicus Guerra who made another generous contribution this year.
Trustees Marietta Alba and Jackie Galvan are so greatly appreciated as they continue working to support and promote TREPAC objectives. Their leadership will again be sought in achieving the 2012 goal of $252,245. 2011 Chairman Barbara del Amo will kick off the new fundraising year with a new and exciting event~ Mardi Gras Masquerade ~ to be held at SABOR on February 9, 2012.
Available for purchase are a select group of items that will give purchasers TREPAC credit. These items are available for sale through the website or at SABOR. Plan to shop from one of two display cases located in SABOR. The varied items available for sale give members further value for their TREPAC contribution.
Thanks to Scott Caballero, Dwight Hale and Ron Wakefield for their participation in the REALTORS® Political Action Committee’s (RPAC) President’s Circle. Members who make an initial Sterling, Crystal or Golden R investment can then contribute an additional $2,000 directly to REALTOR® supported candidates or a party’s committee. This program enables REALTORS® to make a more significant impact into the political arena.
D'Ann Harper of Coldwell Banker D'Ann Harper, REALTORS® and Dwight Hale of RE/MAX Associates have been recognized as members of the prestigious RPAC Hall of Fame. A huge thanks to both who have contributed more than $25,000 to TREPAC during their real estate careers!
